Bazzi put on a charming performance of “Paradise” at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards, which aired Monday ., the camera panned to the singer-songwriter, who was lying on his back in a bed. He then rose and began playing a sample pad, before leaving the bedroom scene and making his way towards the crowd.
Sporting a white sweatsuit and blue sneakers, Bazzi wooed the audience with the downbeat pop ballad, earning roars of approval as he sauntered around under a single spotlight, playing to every side of the stage. Blue confetti was the final festive touch. Earlier in the night, Lizzo performed her hit “Juice.” The evening, hosted by Zachary Levi, also saw appearances from Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, Jada Pinkett Smith, Brie Larson, and more.
