, has canceled three upcoming dates in the area — Aug. 18 at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Aug. 19 at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln and Aug. 20 at the Nugget Event Center in Reno. A news statement said the rock icon canceled the shows “due to an unanticipated eye surgery per his doctor’s orders.”
“Unfortunately due to scheduling conflicts, these shows could not be rescheduled,” the statement said. “All tickets will be refunded. Tour dates beginning September 3 in Indianapolis, IN, are on as scheduled.”Hearty Har — featuring Fogerty’s sons Shane and Tyler — was scheduled to open the shows. The two siblings also play in their father’s band.
Fogerty last performed at the Mountain Winery in 2021, delivering a well-received set built mostly of Creedence Clearwater Revival classics like “Suzie Q,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” “Lookin’ Out My Back Door,” “Lodi” and “Run Through the Jungle.”
