Big hoops day in Indiana with the Hoosiers, Bulldogs, Boilermakers and Pacers all in action. The Hoosiers started it off in a good way earlier with a 39-point win over Jackson State. They host No. 1 North Carolina Wednesday night.
Johnson and Bates each made four 3-pointers and had four assists to help the Hoosiers start 6-0 for the second straight season. Preseason All-American Trayce Jackson-Davis finished with 11 points and five rebounds in 19 minutes after sitting out Wednesday's game with a sore back.
Bates and Johnson didn't just thrive in the unusual matinee time slot — they provided the two-pronged combination Indiana needed to take control.
