Even Twitter threads have been optioned into screenplays, such as the rollicking 2021 film “Zola,” a wild ride directed by Janicza Bravo depicting the events recounted in a Twitter thread written by A'Ziah “Zola” King.
Adam looks up from his phone every now and again and starts to see a chair in his apartment rocking of its own free will; his cats gather at the door and yowl. He’s tormented by horrible sleep-paralysis hallucinations, and ultimately moves into a new apartment in hopes of escaping these episodes, but they only follow him into his daily life.
