Players with split contracts_major-league and minor-leagues_will earn from $275 a day to $1,000 a day, depending on the guaranteed amount of their minor-league contracts.
instead of the traditional 40 rounds, and 20 rounds in 2021. Players also must have their signing bonuses deferred, allowing them to be paid up to $100,000 this year, but deferring the remaining 50% to July 1, 2021 and the rest on July 1, 2022. Players not drafted are ineligible of receiving more than a $20,000 bonus. The international signing period also now can be pushed back six months to Jan. 1, 2021.
