Coulton Peters-McComb is now out on bail after 39 days behind bars. He is accused of robbing a jewelry store with four others inside the Oshawa Centre mall.
Detainees were subdued by shoppers before police and security guards arrived. Gary MacPhail, 40, from Barrie, faces many of the same charges as his co-accused. Another Barrie man, Ryan MacPhail, 22, and others arrested in Mississauga and Brampton, also face charges related to the case. Halton police said Romario Angelo Abraham, 19, is charged with four counts of robbery, possession of stolen property, and mischief.
Peters-McComb is set to make his next appearance in a virtual Oshawa courtroom in two weeks along with Abraham. The allegations against the accused have not been tested in court
