Barcelona set for £255m windfall as club look to hijack Chelsea's Jules Kounde transfer CFC
Barcelona have secured a huge investment worth £255million as they look to generate further funds for summer additions., the cash injection comes from US investment group Sixth Street and will give them an additional 15 per cent of the club’s media rights over the next 25 years.Barcelona are battling Chelsea for the signing of Jules Kounde
This comes after the San Francisco-based fund agreed a similar deal worth £170million for ten per cent of the media rights just three weeks earlier. Barcelona have also struck a three-year deal worth £238million with music streaming giants Spotify for shirt and stadium sponsorship – which begins this season.saddled with short-term debt as a result of overspending and the COVID-19 pandemic, the club has been forced to take extreme measures to raise funds, including losing Lionel Messi at the end of his contract, as well as seeing players defer wages.
