On opening night, Friday, July 12, already announced headliners William Prince with Balaklava Blues will be preceded by teenage singer and accordionist Alex Taylor, Ukrainian bandurist Maryna Krut, Portuguese-Newfoundland singer-songwriter Nico Paulo and Juno-winning Indigenous duo Digging Roots.
Ahead of De Temps Antan and Newfoundland’s own Ennis Sisters closing out the three-day festival on Sunday night, concertgoers will be entertained by the likes of singer Katie Anne Colbourne, French Canadian duo Port Aux Poutine, Scottish-born fiddler Doug Dorward, mainland fiddling group Portage and St. John’s traditional ensemble Jockey Special.
