The American Heart Association held their annual 'Heart Walk' at the Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza in Phoenix and 12News heard more about the mission behind it.
The mental health and substance abuse program will operate out of the Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center in Sun City West.announced Monday the medical provider is launching a new substance abuse treatment program for teenagers in the West Valley.
Banner Health said the program will offer a"holistic approach" to overall wellness and recovery. The group therapy specifically focuses on teaching emotion regulation and the skills necessary to regain control of one’s own life. The cities of the Valley have a combined population of 4,845,832 people, according to the 2020 United States Census. This makes it the 11th largest metropolitan area in the country right behind the Boston and Atlanta areas.Maricopa County is the United States’ 4th largest county in terms of population with 4,485,414 people, according to the 2020 Census.
