Officials with the Town of Banff say they’ve been using quieter, low impact pyrotechnics since 2018 for both Canada Day and New Year’s Eve.
Peter Duck, president of the Bow Valley Naturalists, said that while the group is appreciative of the progress that’s been made to reduce the impacts of fireworks on wildlife, it hopes to see a continued effort of that sensitivity moving forward.We understand the importance of celebrating as a community and with our visitors.
