They say you never forget how to ride a bike. As Doug Pederson returns to the sidelines for the next step of his coaching career with the Jaguars, the familiar feelings are coming back.

Top of the Top?:“It felt great. It was fun to get out there and to do that again, being able to be in the headset with Trevor [Lawrence] and talk to him,” Pederson said last week. “He can’t talk back, obviously, that’s a good thing. It was good. It felt comfortable.

When asked about the nerves he might feel to call the season opener, he said those feelings were put to rest. According to members of the Jaguars’ coaching staff, the game day communication has been smooth so far. The advantage of this preseason for Jacksonville was the additional preseason game to iron out any kinks or issues. As much as players need the extra reps to put game tape together, coaches needed those reps as well.

It may seem minuscule but if one chain of communication is broken, it’ll result in major issues for the team.
