More than 42,000 votes were counted in Burnaby's ridings from five days of advance polls, according to Elections BC.
A quarter of eligible Burnaby residents cast their ballot during advance voting, according to Elections BC's data.
During the five days of advance polls, between Oct. 10 to 16, 42,398 voters aged 18 years and older participated out of 172,836 that are registered. Across the province, 222,907 ballots were cast on Wednesday, Oct. 16, which marked a new daily record. That set a new record for the highest voter turn out for an advance voting period in B.C. provincial election history
