“We are absolutely thrilled with the news today,” BCSS executive director Jordan Abney said. “The tournaments have been amazing events for 70-plus years and the last 10 or so years at the LEC have been amongst the best they’ve ever had. We’re excited that our student-athletes will get a chance to experience the wonderful high school sports atmosphere that the event at the LEC provides.
“Working with B.C. School Sports to host these championships means so much to the Township of Langley, Langley Events Centre and the respective tournament committees,” said Jason Winslade, general manager of administration and community services for the Township of Langley and a key organizer of the tournaments at the LEC.
