Polls will close at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, and CHEK News will have aThere are 15 ridings across Vancouver Island, with 52 candidates running across the ridings.
BC NDP, Conservative Party of BC and the BC Green Party have candidates running in all of the Island ridings, and there are independent candidates running in four ridings, and a Communist Party of BC candidate running in one riding. David Eby , John Rustad and Sonia Furstenau are the leaders of the three major parties vying to form government in the election.
Polls have shown Eby and Rustad having the best chance to form government, with various polls placing each of them as the favourable party to win. While the polls close at 8 p.m. and preliminary results will be announced on election day, with the final count taking place between Oct. 26-28.
