B.C. says 23 more COVID-19 cases were reported over the weekend, as well as one additional death
Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix also announced one new death related to the virus since Saturday, bringing the provincial total to 130 deaths.
As the province looks towards reopening its economy and easing health guidelines next week, Dr. Henry said that everyone should be allowed engage with the community at their own pace.Henry added that she had heard from many businesses that they were eager to reopen, while many also told her that were unsure if they were going to open their doors in the near future due to safety concerns.
In total, 291 patients in these facilities have tested positive for COVID-19 across the province, alongside 184 staff members.
