The Chilliwack outbreak ended a three-month infection-free stretch in B.C. Prior to it, the last case reported was on June 18 in Langley Township. B.C. poultry farmers are urged to increase current biosecurity measures and pay attention for signs of illness in their flocks. The B.C. government has issued an order requiring some poultry producers to keep birds indoors until further notice.
