Michael Avenatti, who has become famous as the lawyer for Stormy Daniels, said Tuesday that he no longer represents the porn actress who has alleged that she had an affair with President Trump.

The news and stories that matter, delivered weekday mornings.WASHINGTON — Michael Avenatti, who became famous as the lawyer for Stormy Daniels, said Tuesday that he no longer represents the porn actress who alleged she had an affair with President Donald Trump.
Daniels said in her own post that she's hired another attorney, Clark Brewster, who will"review all legal matters" that she's been involved in. Brewster did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.Daniels has been a central figure in federal and congressional investigations surrounding the president and Trump's former personal lawyer and fixer pleaded guilty to criminal charges for buying her silence.
Last week, a federal judge found the agreement wasn't valid as he tossed out the lawsuit. Though this effectively gave Daniels what she wanted, she had fought the dismissal of the case because she wanted to record sworn testimony from Trump and Cohen. But all the while, Avenatti has said he's been aggressively fighting in Daniels' case — and keeping his client out of legal trouble.
