Police received 38 reports of a stolen vehicle in Etobicoke between Aug. 11 and Aug. 17. That’s up from 31 reported for the previous week. Reports of auto thefts across the entire city climbed by nine to 156 . There have been 4,972 vehicles reported stolen in Toronto so far this year — up 40 per cent compared to the same period in 2021.Two auto thefts were reported at the following locations: a curbside near Hallmark Avenue and Horner Avenue on Monday, Aug. 15 at about 10 p.m.

One auto theft was reported at the following location: a curbside around Gihon Spring Drive and Kidron Valley Drive on Tuesday, Aug. 16 at about 2 a.m. A total of 67 vehicles have been reported stolen in Mount Olive-Silverstone-Jamestown in 2022.One auto theft was reported at the following location: a driveway around 5th Street and Morrison Street on Tuesday, Aug. 16 at around 10 p.m. A total of 18 vehicles have been reported stolen in New Toronto in 2022.
