AKRON, Ohio — The identity of a 17-year-old victim in a fatal shooting Wednesday has been released by the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Antenio Louis was killed in the shooting, which occurred at about 4 p.m. near the intersection of East Glenwood Avenue and Dan Street, which is just northeast of downtown. Louis died of a gunshot wound to the head, the medical examiner’s office says. A 23-year-old man, whose identity has not been released, also was wounded in the shooting. Investigators say the victims were driving in the area when a second vehicle pulled in front of their car and the occupants opened fire. The suspects drove off in an unknown direction following the shooting.
Louis was pronounced dead at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital. The other victim was taken to Summa Health Akron City Hospital and police say his injuries were not life-threatening.Anyone with information can call detectives at 330-375-2490 or Summit County Crimestoppers at 330-434-COPS.
