“What a time gone by that Pony Club era. I thought, ‘I’m not sure if it exists in the same way so I will write it down.’ Then I thought, ‘Who would want to read this?’ And I put it away,” said Williamson.

It’s about relationships with powerful, complicated animals and how those connections can be grounding and blinding at the same time. That discussion of expertise leads into a conversation of drive and determination, traits needed to be a successful equine competitor, which Williamson became when she turned her focus to dressage.
And, when she needs a full horse fix, she helps her niece with her horse. But, she notes, her approach these days is different.
