Three-day gathering in downtown Prince George Oct. 24-26 focused on leadership and entrepreneurship

Community Futures Fraser Fort George is hosting a three-day conference next week focused on entrepreneurship and being a leader in the business community.

The fourth annual LEAP conference is expected to draw 200 in-person and virtual attendees to the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre, Oct. 24-26. Featured speakers include award-winning Gitxsan journalist/author Angela Sterritt, whose book Unbroken is based on the stories of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. Sterritt’s presentation is set for Wednesday, Oct. 25.

Also on the guest list is motivational speaker JR LaRose, a member of the One Arrow First Nation in Alberta who grew up in a single-parent home in Edmonton and went to become a Grey Cup champion in 2011 as the B.C. Lions’ starting safety.
