Amid company layoffs and facility closures, Aurora Cannabis has appointed a new chief commercial officer.
“This appointment allows us to take full advantage of Miguel’s depth of international CPG experience to drive Aurora’s revenues and brand strength in our global core markets,” executive chairman and interim CEO Michael Singer commented in a news release. Martin was previously CEO of Reliva, which Aurora acquired in May of this year, and worked for e-cigarette company Altria before making the move to cannabis.
Earlier this year, the company announced a reduction of 500 jobs, impairment charges, and the exodus of long-time CEO Terry Booth.
