Auburn University is hosting its annual “Tiger Giving Day” on Wednesday

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -, a 24-hour crowdfunding initiative to raise money for more than 55 student projects that need private support to complete.

Those projects include a wide variety of initiatives that benefit students, research, and outreach programs. This year, some of the projects include the university’s small animal hospital that needs a new ultrasound machine, the wheelchair basketball team raising money for a recovery room for adaptive athletes, the Auburn Sustenance Project that provides solutions to feed Auburn City School Students, and the Kreher Preserve & Nature Center’s need for a new nature curriculum.

The idea behind Tiger Giving Day is to provide a platform for grassroots-led projects that are integral to Auburn University’s land-grant mission. Since 2015, Tiger Giving Day donors have funded hundreds of projects for the university, benefiting its students, faculty, and nearby communities.and see the impact of their gifts through real-time updates. Last year, nearly 5,000 donors supported 58 initiatives across campus.
