Armin plans to transform into the Colossal Titan, hoping the transformation will clear out a way to locate Zeke.
Meanwhile, Armin finds Zeke in the Paths and they talk about life. With their help, the former allies/Titan shifters suddenly help the alliance. Armin gets out, while Levi successfully kills Zeke. Eren’s nape explodes and a parasite-like organism pops out, trying to return to Eren’s head. The Rumbling stops, and everyone is reunited with their loved ones. But Eren transforms into a Titan and approaches the parasite. The parasite releases a gas that transforms everyone into Titans.
Mikasa gets a vision of what life would be if she and Eren ran away while the war went on. She realizes what she has to do and she jumps in Titan Eren’s mouth to decapitate his head. Mikasa’s actions free Ymir and the power of the Titans disappears. After Eren dies, all his friends remember talking about his actual objectives. Armin takes credit for killing Eren while Mikasa leaves to bury him.
