STORY CONTINUES BELOW THESE SALTWIRE VIDEOSWith the winter weather upon us, it’s a great time to snuggle up with a good book , or head outside for some winter fun – and try snowshoeing! Thanks to a partnership with Active Pictou County, we have numerous sets of snowshoes for all ages and sizes, available for borrowing from your local library.
All our library locations will be offering a special “Take & Make” home crafting kit inspired by the kente cloth to encourage children to create a paper-weaving craft, with colors and symbols of their own choosing. The New Glasgow Library will offer a public screening of the NFB documentary film, “John Ware Reclaimed” on Feb. 16 at 6 p.m.
