Firefighters covered some of the giant trees of California’s Sequoia National Park in protective foil as growing wildfires threatened one of the state’s most well-known groves

The KNP Complex Fire, which is made up of the Paradise and Colony fires, has burned through 9,365 acres with no containment since lighting sparked flames last week. Firefighters have struggled to contain the blazes as steep and difficult terrain in the area make ground operations more challenging.
