At least seven civilians, including an infant, killed in air strike in Afghanistan's northern Baghlan province

The air strike was conducted for "the elimination of the enemy" in the KutobKhel district of the city of Pul e Khumri, the defence ministry said in a statement. A ministry team was investigating the incident, it said. Baghlan provincial council member Assadullah Shahbaz said the civilians killed in the air strike were farmers and had no connection with the Taliban or other militant groups.
