Officials from the Major Baseball League have announced the winner of the 2022 Silver Slugger awards, and two Houston Astros scored the win.
This win is the fifth one of its kind for second baseman Altuve, and a first for designated hitter and left fielder Alvarez.
MLB managers and coaches vote for the Silver Sluggers, which go to one player apiece in each league at catcher, DH, and each infield position, plus three outfielders,Moriah Ballard joined the KPRC 2 digital team in the fall of 2021. Prior to becoming a digital content producer in Southeast Texas and a Houstonian, Moriah was an award-winning radio host in her hometown of Lorain, Ohio and previously worked as a producer/content creator in Cleveland.
