Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker will play for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic next March, Major League Baseball announced on Saturday.
“It’s awesome. A lot of these guys that are going to play for other countries — their home countries — I’m sure they kind of feel the same way,” Tucker said. “It’s a great honor and a huge opportunity to play for Team USA. It will be a lot of fun. I’m really excited to have the opportunity to go there and play against a bunch of other really good teams.”
