For his second consecutive start, Astros rookie Hunter Brown tossed seven innings without allowing an earned run. He struck out five, walked one, and yielded five hits on a career-high 99 pitches. The Astros went up for good in the next inning when Peña tagged up on Diaz’s sacrifice fly and slid home as the go-ahead run. They tacked on five more runs in the seventh inning, most of which were cosmetic but surely cathartic.Poor defense by the Astros and questionable base running by the Rangers combined for a memorably outlandish frame in the top of the third.
