The trio will be shining so brightly that people everywhere should be able to witness this without special equipment.13-14 August – Perseid meteor shower The extensive shower of meteors will be active from 14 July to 1 September, reaching its peak on the night of 12 August. It is predicted that up to 100 meteors per hour will be flying around during the peak.During the Saturn opposition, Earth will sit perfectly between Saturn and the sun. This is the time during Saturn’s orbit in which the planet is closest to Earth.
