THUNDER BAY — A city man faces numerous drug-related and other charges following an incident on the south side Sunday evening.
According to the Thunder Bay Police Service, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Cumming Street shortly after 6:30 pm to investigate an assault that reportedly had just occurred. At the scene, they were told that a man who had been asked to leave the residence had caused some damage to property.
Officers located him nearby and apprehended him after a brief foot pursuit that ended in the area of Leith and May streets. While the subject was in custody, police learned he was in possession of weapons, a quantity of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, other narcotics, cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.The accused appeared in bail court Monday and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
