The suspect thought no one was home when he and an accomplice tried to kick in the door. They found out someone was inside with a gun ready to fight back.
The incident, which happened on Saturday, August 19th around 6 p.m., was captured by a doorbell camera.
Men posing as maintenance workers attempted to make their way into an Oak Cliff apartment complex. The incident led to a terrifying shootout.Rodriguez tells him no one is home and to come back another day.Both men take turns kicking the door and attempting to break in to the apartment. "I check the camera to see who’s all at the door and I saw him kicking the door with a firearm and fearing for my and my brother’s life. I just let the gun go. I didn’t know what to do," said Rodriguez.Despite all the shots, no one was injured.
