The high temperature on Monday in Phoenix hit 118°F, breaking the previous record for that day set in 1985.Temps on Tuesday are expected to hit 116°F again, which would tie a record.An Excessive Heat Warning that was issued by the National Weather Service last week has been extended for the Valley through Friday night.It'll be toasty in northern Arizona, too.
