If you like to tell jokes, make yourself and others laugh or put your embarrassing stories on blast, you might want to take a stab at the 2022 Funniest Person in Austin Competition.
For the first two rounds of the competition contestants must perform their own material. Sets are 4.5-6 minutes long for the pre-lims, 6.5-8 minutes for the semi-finals and 8-10 minutes for the final round.
Contestants who advance to semi-finals have the opportunity to have their set recorded by Helium Records and submitted to Sirius and iTunes if they want. are open online now through April 30. Registration is $25 closes once all the slots are filled. It is first-come, first-serve basis. All contestants who advance to the second round must be available for the final round on Aug. 28.
