A subway cleaner made a shocking find when they discovered a high-powered rifle in a trash can on a Lower Manhattan platform, cops said Saturday.
The long-barreled weapon was found around 3:15 p.m. Friday at the Cortlandt Street Station on the R subway line, about two blocks from the 911 Memorial and Museum, cops said. The rifle was found on a platform in the R train line at the Cortlandt Street station in Lower Manhattan.
