The Rollo Bay land-based salmon hatchery has the capacity to produce 250 metric tons of salmon a year, according to the company’s - AquaBounty website, with a loan from the province and an interest-free loan from the Government of Canada. McMorrow declined to say how much GM salmon the company had produced at Rollo Bay, telling SaltWire, “Those are not numbers we release.”As for AquaBounty’s salmon production, McMorrow said, “Most of our production focused on the U.S. market for the immediate future.”“We are currently selling all of the salmon we harvest from our Indiana farm,” he said.
