The APRA Music Awards have a host, and a new date!
Adam Briggs and Daniel Rankine of A.B Original arrive for the 31st Annual ARIA Awards 2017 at The Star on November 28, 2017 in Sydney, Australia.
The 2020 Awards were scheduled to take place May 26, but have been shifted to May 25 to pay respect to “Sorry Day,” a national day of reflection where all Australians can acknowledge and recognize the historical mistreatment of Aboriginal people, in particular the Stolen Generations. The hour-long feed will take place at 7:00pm AEST , emceed by rapper Briggs and featuring one-off performances curated by musical director Kate Miller-Heidke.
The 2020 APRAs action starts earlier with a “virtual red carpet,” for which music fans from around the world are invited to dress up in their best rockstar getup and share selfies with customized #VAPRAs red carpet Instagram filters.
