Apple CEO Tim Cook also announced that Apple TV+ would launch on November 1, less than two weeks before the debut of Disney+ on November 12. But Apple is leveraging its key advantage over Netflix and Disney: hardware. Apple used Tuesday’s launch event to show off the next generation of iPhones and could sell as many as 80 million of them during the launch, according to analysts at Wedbush. Customers who buy an iPhone will get a year of Apple TV+ free.
