Apple could be about to release another iPad and a new rumor claims it will be an iPad Air, but bigger than the current model. A new report fromsays that an iPad Air with the biggest screen ever seen on any iPad apart from the iPad Pro is on its way.DigiTimes says it has industry sources who have predicted that the new Air would have a 12.9-inch display.
So, how likely is this proposed larger iPad Air? Well, Apple has had a critical success earlier this year by introducing its first larger-sized MacBook Air, with a 15-inch screen joining the 13-inch laptop. A larger-sized Air could be good addition to the tablet range, too. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has said that Apple tends to release its iPads in the month after the iPhone, but he believes that won’t happen this year. No iPad Air in October, then., “I don’t believe updates of any significance are imminent.” In my book, this would be a significant update, so that sounds like we might have a wait on our hands.
