Entrepreneurship can be defined as starting up a business, organizing and managing it, and taking the financial risk in hopes of making a profit.

But there are no homes around Apple Creek to hit with wayward balls, and Craig says the wedding business can be rewarding but that most couples want to get married on Saturdays during the summer.

So they thought of a better way to make their venture economical and came up with the idea of converting the walkout floor of the clubhouse into a family-oriented arcade. Totally renovated, the interior is now home to more than 60 arcade games, including those allowing contestants to sit in a car to race against three friends with the thrill of the noise of accelerating and braking, and throwing rubber axes at targets. The arcade can accommodate up to 200 people at a time, so it’s ideal for events from birthday parties to corporate functions.

The main level floor is still open as a restaurant and bar, and enlarged to accommodate more adult-style games.
