Meanwhile, 50% of all iPads run on the latest iPadOS 16 software Apple iOS16 iPadOS16 TechNave
Apple has an excellent track record of software updates for its devices, with many old devices still being supported by the tech giant. The latest iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 operating systems are no exception, as revealed by Apple on its official developer website.
As of 14 February 2023, Apple confirmed that 72 per cent of all iPhones use iOS 16. For iPhones introduced in the last 4 years, the iOS 16 adoption statistic is even more impressive - 81 per cent! Meanwhile, iPadOS 16 adoption is not as impressive but still really good, with 50 per cent of all iPads running on the latest software. As for iPads introduced in the last 4 years, 53 per cent of them run on iPadOS 16.
Do note that the statistics were measured by Apple by seeing the devices that transacted on the App Store. Hence, there may be some much older iPhones and iPads out there not included in the statistics that are running on older software that is no longer supported by Apple and its App Store. So, what do you guys think of the adoption statistics of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news such as this.
