The buyback plan came after Anta reported better-than-expected profit for the first half of this year. Net income jumped 63% to 7.7 billion yuan during this period, beating an analyst consensus of 6.1 billion yuan compiled by Bloomberg. The company will pay HK$1.18 per share in dividend, up 44% from the same period a year ago.
The brokerage expects China’s sportswear sector growth to moderate to the low-to-mid single digits in 2024-2026, with diminished benefits from a direct-to-customer push. Jason and Travis Kelce are kicking off a rich new deal with Amazon’s Wondery, which has exclusive ad-sales and distribution rights to the popular “New Heights” weekly podcast hosted by the famous football brothers.
