I’m actually talking about local books — ones written and published here in Nova Scotia and particularly in the Annapolis Valley.
A newspaper story has to fit in a slot and if there isn’t quite enough room in that slot, the editor knows that it can be chopped from the bottom up. The main part of the story is close to the top. I am a big fan of Moose House Publications. This four-year-old publishing house has managed to print an amazing selection of books. They are small but mighty and I highly recommend that readers have a look at their selection.
