As this is the time of year when apple pickers are needed, the new crops are coming to our stores and last weekend was Thanksgiving, I thought I’d talk about apples this week. The history of the orchards is long here in this part of North America. It is woven into the history of the people who have lived here since 1604. It is a happy story in some ways and a sad story in other ways. The different kinds of apples that were made famous around the world.
