Her newly added title is "Global Content Advisor."Author:Maria BobilaUpdated:Aug 14, 2019Original:Aug 14, 2019It seems like Anna Wintour is really, truly working "indefinitely" for Vogue and Condé Nast. On Wednesday, the media company announced yet another position has been added to her growing list of duties, totaling three job titles under her belt: U.S. Artistic Director, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue U.S. and, now, Global Content Advisor.
The recently acquired role will have Wintour overseeing Vogue International, as well as advising executives on global content opportunities. She will also act "as a resource to editors-in-chief and editorial talent worldwide," according to the announcement's press release. Somehow, someway, she'll continue planning the Met Gala, revamping the Tony Awards and participating in her regularly scheduled "Go Ask Anna!" videos, too.
Wintour's promotion is the result of global CEO Roger Lynch's structuring of a new global leadership team since the merge of Condé Nast and Condé Nast International into one entity in 2018. In addition to Wintour, Condé Nast's global content team will also include Oren Katzeff, the president of Condé Nast Entertainment, and The New Yorker Editor-in-Chief David Remnick.
"One of my top priorities has been to define our organizational structure so that we can take full advantage of our unique growth opportunities and exceptional content around the world," said Lynch in an official statement. "I'm confident that our new global structure will better enable us to collaborate across teams and markets and, ultimately, deliver unparalleled experiences for our consumers and clients.
We'd be remiss not to say that Wintour's additional job probably comes with some serious financial compensation. But surely it's worth the major investment, as we've learned just how much Condé Nast really, truly needs her.Tagsterms:Conde Nast InternationalConde NastAnna WintourNetworkVogue
