Prince Andrew, Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, won’t be on the palace balcony when Queen Elizabeth II greets the public on June 2 for her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
LONDON — Buckingham Palace on Friday answered one of the biggest remaining questions about Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations: saying that, won’t be on the palace balcony when the monarch greets the public on June 2.
“After careful consideration, the queen has decided this year’s traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday, June 2 will be limited to Her Majesty and those members of the royal family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of the queen,” the palace said. As plans for the Jubilee began to take shape, Harry and Meghan announced Friday they would travel to the U.K. for the festivities.
