This French thriller movie is about “Sandra, a German writer, [who] is arrested for murder in France following her husband’s death in the snow under mysterious circumstances,” according to the official synopsis. “Having the couple’s blind son as the only witness of her husband’s death, Sandra tries to prove her innocence during the trial.”The movie releases theatrically in France on August 23, 2023. It will screen at TIFF and NYFF before arriving in theaters later this fall.
The cast includes Sandra Hüller, Swann Arlaud, Milo Machado-Graner, Antoine Reinartz, Samuel Theis, Jehnny Beth, Saadia Bentaieb, Camille Rutherford, Anne Rotger, and Sophie Fillières.Jonathan Sim is a film critic and filmmaker born and raised in New York City.
