The flyers were discovered on Wednesday afternoon near Rossland Road West and Ravenscroft Road.
Three teen males are facing charges after allegedly posting racist flyers targeting two young girls in Ajax, Durham Regional Police said.
According to police, one of the suspects, a 17-year-old, created the flyers as an “act of revenge” intended to humiliate the girls. Crowe said the flyers and a racist letter were sent out to several Durham schools including Pickering High School and Alexander Graham Bell Public School in Ajax. “The crown attorney’s office will be consulted regarding the aggravating factors of this case,” police said.
