Police say Abdulla Shaikh shot three people – two in Montreal, one in Laval – before he was killed by police at a motel in St\u002DLaurent in August 2022.

Police found no connections between Shaikh and any of his victims and concluded they were chosen randomly.

Another 9-mm handgun with more ammunition was found in his vehicle. Neither of the guns were legally obtained, Caron Vadeboncoeur said.
